Making Up For Monday!

For the third year, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. (EPE), Las Vegas' famed Fremont Street Experience and the celebrated tribute artist production "Legends in Concert,” host the official Las Vegas preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest. The Elvis competition will take place on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12 from 8 p.m. to midnight on the
3rd Street
Stage. Elvis Tribute Artists are competing for a chance to proceed to the semifinals during Elvis Week 2012, the 35th anniversary celebration in Memphis.
First Friday Las Vegas continues its tradition of bringing the Las Vegas community together to celebrate art by welcoming the curators of “Burn Wall Street,” an ambitious collaborative art project that will be installed as an Honorarium Art Project at this year’s Burning Man event in northern Nevada.

"First Fridays is excited to welcome “Burn Wall Street” as one of the features for this month’s event,” said Joey Vanas, managing partner of First Friday Las Vegas. “The artist and crew will provide the community with insight into how large scale art is developed, from inception to fundraising, and built by collaboration through hundreds of hours of volunteer work. It is a wonderful feature for this month’s theme, ‘The Art of Science.’"

Crazy Horse III, Las Vegas’ premier gentlemen’s club, will introduce its summer happy hour special to satisfy the mouthwatering appetites of its loyal clientele starting Monday, May 14.  Revelers staying out the sun will still be hot with excitement over the club’s affordable daytime deals, available daily from noon to 8 p.m.

Guests can indulge in a delicious six-inch sandwich paired with chips and a refreshing domestic draft beer or soda for only $5.  Partygoers looking to rehydrate from the scorching sun can enjoy Bud and Bud Light beer bottles priced at $2 and bottle service starting at $100.
The Shade Tree, a local organization that provides safe refuge to physically abused and homeless women, children and their pets, is hosting its annual ‘Girls Night Out’ soiree May 3 in which proceeds will benefit the meaningful cause. A live auction will be hosted by renowned auctioneer Christian Kolberg.
FOX 5 News anchor Jason Feinberg will emcee the festive affair. Live entertainment will be provided by famed Las Vegas headliners Zowie Bowie, who will perform their unique music blend of hip-hop, Top 40 and classic Vegas tunes.
