Vegas is Heating Up!

Legendary Carlos Santana recently kicked off a two-year run of unique performances – “An Intimate Evening with Santana: Greatest Hits Live – Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow” – at the House of Blues inside Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino and with that today announced a spring album promotion along with an updated list of 2012 show dates.

Through June 3, fans will receive the ultimate souvenir when attending any of the highly buzzed-about live Santana performances. Every concertgoer who purchases a Santana ticket for the May and June performance dates will receive a collectable download card with a unique code enabling them to download Santana’s new album, ‘Shape Shifter’ .  The album is scheduled to be released Tuesday, May 15.
Lynyrd Skynyrd BBQ & Beer at Excalibur Hotel & Casino welcomes the launch of “HomeGrown Wednesdays,” a live stage show that will feature the music of two local bands every Wednesday at 10 p.m., kicking off on Wednesday, May 9.

KOMP radio DJ Laurie Steele, local talent booker Michael Soli and famous rock ‘n’ roll photographer Robert Knight will host the weekly event, announcing favorites from Las Vegas’ talented local emerging bands and musical artists such as Holes in Heart and Slow to Surface. In addition, Steele will provide on-air giveaways to “HomeGrown Wednesdays” throughout the week to lucky listeners.
Comme Ça at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas has created an indulgent menu fit for a king this Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17. Families can spoil their father figures with a prix-fixe menu, featuring dishes that any man-of-the-house will love.

The extensive menu, designed to be served family style, will showcase some of Chef David Myers and Executive Chef Brian Howard’s favorite selections, such as Roasted Bone Marrow and Oxtail Jam,
Oysters Rockefeller, Wood Fire Grilled Steamship of Prime Beef, Hand Cut Pasta with slow cooked meat ragout and mimolette cheese, Roasted Cauliflower and Boudin Noir Gratin and Comme Ça’s Opera Cake.

PBR Rock Bar inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will establish a new weekly line-up with crowd-pleasing drink specials.

Starting Thursday, May 10, revelers can take part in the following unbelievable deals available at all bars:

Mondays: Rock, Paper, Scissor Mondays PBR Rock Bar’s Rock, Paper,    Scissor   Mondays lets patrons play against the bar’s sexy staff for a chance to receive 50 percent off their bar tab, beginning at 6 p.m. Partygoers can rock out with the DJ spinning at 10 p.m.

Tuesdays: Two-For-Tuesdays Every Tuesday, patrons can partake in two-for-one beers, shots and all drinks, all day until midnight with a DJ beginning at 10 p.m.

Wednesdays: College Wednesdays Co-eds with a college ID will enjoy an all-they-can-drink bar package, priced at just $5 for ladies and $10 for guys. All wannabe students can still drink cheap with a $10 open bar for ladies and $20 for guys from 9 p.m. to midnight with a DJ at 9 p.m.

Thursdays: Ladies Night All ladies drinks will be $1 from 10 p.m. until midnight on Thursday nights with the DJ spinning party-inducing mash-ups all night long.

Sundays: Twitter Sundays – All followers of the @PBRRockBar and @RockhouseVegas Twitter handle will receive cheaper open bar packages from 9 p.m. to midnight. All-you-can-drink open bar is just $10 with a DJ spinning at 10 p.m.
