Two For Tuesday!

will welcome customers with kid-friendly activities and incredible drink specials for adults during its grand opening on Thursday, May 24.

Beginning at 8 p.m., families will be welcomed with a balloon artist and face painting for kids, while adults can enjoy $3 Absolut cocktails and 50 cent Budweiser and Bud Light drafts from 8 p.m. until close. The outdoor patio will also feature a Lovesac-sponsored lounge for guests to relax and enjoy the exciting, country western atmosphere.

Famed music producer, club and celebrity DJ, Chris Cox, will take to the turntable for an unforgettable evening at Gallery Nightclub inside Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Saturday, May 26.

The Grammy nominated artist has produced more than 40 Billboard number one dance hits.  A powerful force in the industry, Cox has remixed tracks for many popular top 40 artists including Christina Aguilera, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Kelly Clarkson and Janet Jackson.

PBR Rock Bar & Grill inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will host NBA Finals parties for every fanatic from the East to West coast complete with incredible drink specials.

From June 12 through 26, PBR Rock Bar & Grill will show every NBA Final game on their 105 flat-screen TVs throughout the interior and exterior. In addition to PBR Rock Bar’s weekly drink specials, any patron that wears their team’s jersey during game time can enjoy $3 wells and drafts.

The multi-talented recording artist, LexRox, is showcasing her talents across Las Vegas during her numerous performances in May. From
Town Square
to The Adventuredome, LexRox takes her pop/rock infused music to the stage for the young music lovers in Las Vegas.

LexRox is starting her shows with a performance at the All-Star Showcase event on Thursday, May 17 at 6 p.m. at the Springs Preserve hosted by Chet Buchanan from 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan & the Morning Zoo.

David Myers’ celebrated brasserie, Comme Ça at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, will unveil a new Parisian gastropub menu on Monday, June 11, for ‘Gastropub Mondays.’ This weekly occasion, available only in the bar and lounge, will showcase a number of specially created dishes that play on classic bar bites with a distinct French culinary twist.
RHUMBAR at The Mirage Hotel & Casino will host a three-day Memorial Day party on its Caribbean-inspired patio starting Friday, May 25.

Starting at 3 p.m. daily, DJs spinning a mix of dance and contemporary hits will set the mood and hookahs will be available for those who enjoy smoking the flavorful concoctions. The hookah pipes are available in an array of flavors, including strawberry daiquiri, guava, and the Coco Jumbo, a blend of mint and coconut.

The new director of tourism and cultural affairs for the state of Nevada appointed by Governor Brian Sandoval, Claudia Vecchio will be the guest speaker at the Wednesday, May 16, 2012, Destination Services Association (DSA) at 11:30 a.m. at the new Slice of Vegas restaurant that opened last month in the
Mandalay Place
shopping mall.
The new department created in part due to the state’s budget difficulties is comprised of the original Nevada Commission on Tourism along with the Division of Museums and History, Nevada Arts Council and the Nevada Indian Commission. The former Department of Cultural Affairs was eliminated.
